CW-TEC 2026: Engineering the Next Semiconductor Frontier
Two hundred and fifty senior engineers, technologists and academics, and a refreshing absence of anybody claiming their chip would change the world by Friday.

This one has been and gone. See what's coming up next.
Cambridge Wireless's engineering conference looked past miniaturisation this year: speed, heat, bandwidth and energy efficiency are what constrain the next generation of hardware. Sessions ran across UK strengths and gaps in global semiconductor competition, power electronics, photonics and quantum, future compute architectures, and sovereign supply chains.
What we did there
We exhibited for the day, with Kinabase running on the stand.
- Met research groups, fabless designers and manufacturers from across the community
- Talked traceability and documentation with teams whose records have to stand up years after the fact
- Sat in on the sovereign supply chain sessions
