Suffolk Chamber of Commerce closed out its Safari Networking year in West Suffolk with an exhibition alongside it at the XR Lab in Bury St Edmunds, run in partnership with West Suffolk College as part of the West Suffolk Business Festival.

Two guided safari sessions ran through the morning. Rather than working a room full of strangers, people moved between pre-sorted groups and spent around fifteen minutes at each table, with the exhibition and free networking open either side. It was deliberately informal and open to any job role, which made it a gentle start for anyone new to networking, or new to a role and building up contacts.

We were on the stand and at the networking sessions through the morning, from the doors opening at 08:30 to the exhibition closing at 12:00. Thank you to Suffolk Chamber and West Suffolk College for hosting, and to everyone who stopped by. If we didn’t get the chance to talk on the day, we’d be glad to pick up the conversation.

What we did there

Millie and Mike were on the stand from the doors opening, talking through where Kinabase fits and sitting down with people to go through their operational questions.

  • The spreadsheets people have been meaning to replace, and the processes nobody has written down yet
  • The free networking either side of the safari sessions, when the room was quieter

    Arrival and light refreshments, and the first chance to walk the stands.

    Safari Session 1

    A short welcome from Suffolk Chamber, then the first guided round of networking.

    Safari Session 2

    The second guided round, with networking and the exhibition running for everyone else.

    Exhibition closes
